Since 1906, the Cadillac® Condensate Meter has been acknowledged as the industry standard.
The Cadillac® Condensate Meters (Gravity and Pumped) are totalizing meters which measures liquid or condensate. In any steam system where condensate is available, the condensate meter is the number one choice. This is because of Cadillac®'s accuracy, reliability and infinite rangeability.
The underlying principle of the Condensate Meter is this: one pound of steam equals one pound of water. Based on this principle, the volume of the condensate measurement can be converted into a measurement of steam consumption. The meter does this by measuring the volume of condensate while adjusting for the density. This produces a reading in pounds.
Steam is measured either as a commodity to be bought and sold, or to determine the efficiency of a given system. Therefore, the efficiency and reliability of the metering equipment cannot be over-emphasized.
CG GRAVITY CONDENSATE METER
No other flow meter has the capability in a gravity condensate system to measure full rated capacity or a drop at a time, while maintaining an accuracy of +/-1.0% of the flow rate (optional drums upon request may be calibrated to accuracy of +/-0.50% of the flow rate). This is important because steam loads vary widely with seasons and time of day. Cadillac® CG Condensate Meters can handle all such variations and are not affected by any pressure and temperature fluctuations in the steam system.
CMAG PUMPED CONDENSATE METER
No other meter has the capability in a pumped condensate system to measure with an accuracy of +/-0.25% of the flow rate, without flow profiling or piping straight run. This is important because most pumped condensate systems are retrofit or installations where piping is very constricted with limited install space. The Cadillac® CMAG flow meter is designed specifically for this application with the ability to be installed next to turbulence generating devices such as Tees, Elbows, Valves, Pumps, etc., without any affect on stated accuracies.
