THE HOT/CHILLED FLOW METER OF CHOICE

The Cadillac® Magnetic Flow Meter has been acknowledged as the industry standard for accuracy and installation flexibility

Historically, Hot and Chilled Water flows have been measured by mechanical flow meters. However, as with any mechanical system, the meters are subject to wear and tear, poor repeatability and require regular maintenance and calibration. In addition, accuracy is relatively poor (1%-5% typical) and turndown is very limited (Usually 10:1 at best). Taken with the rapid rise in energy cost extreme scrutiny has been placed on an efficient, accurate, repeatable, and maintenance free flow measurement. This has taken the end user to look at non-mechanical flow measurement technology, which the Cadillac® Magnetic flow meters (CMAG & EMAG) were designed for and are ideally suited. Even though magnetic flow meters have been on the market for years, their high cost of manufacture has limited their use in these applications. Current manufacturing technology has made the Cadillac® magnetic flow meter a cost effective solution, especially in applications requiring high accuracy, low maintenance, obstruction free mounting, and analog (rate) or pulse (totalized) outputs.

The Cadillac® offering consists of two meters the CMAG and the EMAG. Sharing the same electronics platform the difference can be found in the flow tube design. Both meters offer a turn down of 100:1 or better.

CMAG Hot & Chilled Flow Meter

CMAGThe CMAG employs a unique flow tube design which allows it to be mounted anywhere the meter can physically fit while maintaining an accuracy of 0.25% of rate or reading. This feature is ideal for retrofit or anywhere piping is congested and proper flow profiling or straight run is not available.

EMAG Hot & Chilled Flow Meter

EMAGThe EMAG uses a traditional flow tube design that does require traditional flow profiling or piping straight run. However, if proper flow profiling is available the EMAG offers a more economical solution, while still maintaining a very high accuracy (0.50% of rate or reading).
